Easton S17 Skates or SE16 skates

I'm looking for feedback on the new Easton Stealth S17 skates and Synergy SE16 skates. My son has been in CCM/RBK skates as long as he has been skating. He is thinking about switching from U+ skates to the S17 or SE16 skate. We are not concerned about the overall fit since he has tried them on at the LHS. What he is mainly concerned about is how the boot/holder set up feels compared to the U+'s. Both of us are very concerned about durability since the we've seen alot of S15's fall apart.

Any feed back is appreciated.

The S17 fixed the durability issues as far as the S15 was concerned. I've seen a lot of U+'s come through my store that are just falling apart though.

idk if the S17 is just like a better S15, but since i know that the U+ is wide, i dont think the S17 would work for you, but i dont know if the S17 is as narrow as the S15. The SE16, in the other hand is a wider skate. hope this helps ;)

I havent skated in an S17 but i tried them on last week and all i can say is wow felt amazing honestly!! Thats before a bake as well. I even have excess bone on the side of my foot and every skate hurts me, they did not.
