RBK 7Ks or 9Ks?

I haven't had the chance to see these side by side, but perhaps someone who has can help me out? I'm looking at these pants online and am trying to figure out the differences. And also the sizing. I'm 5'10, 185 and wear a large in the Nike/Bauer pants.

Also, how do the 9Ks compare to a Vapor XXXX Core Pad? And what's the competition for the 7Ks? Anyone wearing either of these, I'd really appreciate an opinion.

The issue I have with the Vapor Core Pad is that it just feels a bit off to me. The 9K looks more adjustable. Any other suggestions?

sorry I can't help you...but you may want to go take a look at both on their websites or at the local hockey shop if you can...otherwise you'll have to wait and see if anyone can help you out.

i know rbk 9Ks have a very snug fit...but i never wore bauer pants so can't help you there

I was looking at new girdle style pants myself, and researched these 3 pants/girdles and i decided to go with the 7k. I havent bought em yet cause i got to find a way to hide em from the girlfriend. Any way the 9k was pretty heavy but did not feel that bad when I was wearing it, I would have loved to get those but at almost 200 bucks they were a little too much for a beer league. The nike bauer core pad was too tight and restricting, really overall just not comfy. And then their was the 7k which was nice and comfy with the cool ass feature that you could adjust the thigh pad up and down which was rad. Im just waiting on the 08's to go on sale at the local hockey shop.

Keep in mind that I have not skated in any of these pants just tried em on in the store.

If you dont get a girdle, id go for the tackla., i coudlnt even lift my legs in the 9k. The 8k's were a decent pant but the durability was pretty poor , id stay away from them. Im a firm tackla guy, the quality is top notch, the range of motion and protection is also up there, some of the best pants on the market if you can get past there sizing system.
