Heating blades

Recommended Posts

Okay, forgive the dumb question, but the last time I bought a hockey stick, there weren't composite blades. I've been out of the game for a while and am just reacquainting myself with what's out there. I'm playing around with the idea of picking one up to see how it feels, but here's the question: Can you heat the composite blades up and bend them? In the old days (you know, the 90's), I'd blow torch the blades and make some adjustments. My gut says its a no-go with the composites and if I want to bend stuff, then I should stick to wood. I thought I'd ask the stupid question here rather than find out the hard way.

You can bend composites, and watch the blade break/fall apart within 3 sessions. It also voids the warranty. If you want to bend stuff, stick to wood.
