loose blade holder

Little help here. Got a new pair of Supreme Gold's [great skate] and there was a loose part in it making a strange sound. Took out the footbed and the white cap and could see the holder [i assume its the blade holder, im not that technical with skates] so i got a hex key on it and tightened it up a bit. However it seemed that it was in-between a 3.5 and a 4 and the other */* were the same. SI i got it tighter, but not really tight. Is this OK, or should i make an effort to get a better fitting key and get it really tight? i assume there is a proper tool for this since it is at a funny angle to get at. Should i go ahead and skate on them, or get a shop to tighten more? they dont make any noise anymore.
