Custom Orthotics

Recommended Posts

I have coverage so i dont think i will have to fork out to much to get customs done, and i think its a better option rather superfeet or sidas. This guy did Gilbert Brule's skates i remember him saying so im hoping he can get mine done.

Do they make the orthotics specifically for the skate (because the 705's are hurting my feet and have been for years) as in they will compensate for the arch or lack of that Graf skates have?

I got customs done for my shoes, but they are correction and aren't exactly the most comfortable because i think its meant to give me more of an arch so i can feel the pressure there, when they make them for your skate do they make them so its just really comfortable for my foot as is or is it some what correction also?

The other thing is i don't have the original footbeds, will i need them?

im no expert on any of this but i have problems with my feet because of size, width, and arch issues. to me it sounds like your skates are comfortable except for the problems your having with your arches. i think for the most part orthotics are meant to correct your arch distribution across your whole foot. the reason your orthotics hurt is because your muscle structure is not accustomed to pressure in the way your orthotics are designed to make your foot sit.

i think if they will make footbeds for you that are designed to correct your arch support which in turn will give you better posture and better support. but like i said im no expert so i apologize if this isnt correct.

Yeah i don't think it has anything to do with the width because I'm pretty sure i got an E width.

I know they can make them for correction but i was hoping he could just take the mold of my foot and make some for my skates that fit like a glove.

its possible but i would definitely show him a footbed that fits in your skates properly because otherwise they may be too small or too big. every skate is shaped differently so you might just want to bring him your skate as well

A properly trained person will be able to make a mold your foot for orthotics. The way mine are done for my shoes are with the acor foam impressions and those are sent out to be made....My skates are done by hand with the therapist taking the heated up plastic and placing it on my foot and doing them that way and trimming and adjusting to fit in my skates

Thing is you also dont want them to thick either. Do they work with your specific skate taking into consideration the existing molding of the Graf's footbed?
