kovyperron5727 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 Hey, I have two good sized bulging discs in my lower back (at L4/L5 and L5/S1). Has anyone had this and if so what are ways I can speed up my recovery a bit? I want to get to the point where I can play without pain and go back to where I was, which was playing anywhere from 6-8 ice times a week plus off ice workouts and practice. Any tips or adivice is much appreciated, thank youBackgorund: I am 17 years old btwSo far I've physical therapy and an epidural steroid injection with minimal to no results, and now I am doing non surgical spinal decompression to avoid surgery and it seems to be helping. I have had this since October, played through it until January(I play travel and high school) and then shut it down because it got to the point where I just could not even bend my back or skate efficently.
