There are these skate blades i seen, goalie width in player skates. I really want to try a pair out for my 9k's once i get lightspeed holders, what are the names of them and is there a website? Sorry about so many topics, just have a lot of questions right now.

The wider blade changes the hollow size. (look at a goalie 1/2" as opposed to a player 1/2" for evidence.) That's how you get "extra bite" while sharpening at the "same hollow" as you would on a conventional blade. That's all it is.

How well would one of these type blades work with an FBV sharpening? Would the FBV have the same effect or would it be negated by the angling of the blade?

Your probably talking about X Blades :)

No, I'm pretty sure he wasn't.

That blade is the same thickness from top to bottom, however tapers in the middle. CT Edge is thin at the holder and widens at the bottom.

Yeah, those were the blades i was looking for. Thanks for the help Jr.
