coolpeoplearewildfans 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 I'm sorry if this is somewhere else but i searched for pro stock gloves and only came up with a few things about specific pairs of gloves.Do all pro stock gloves have a retail product theyre comparable to? for instance is a rbk 8k pro stock glove the same as a rbk 8k retail glove? is the reg price number completely made up? does spending 60 dollars on a pair of pro stock gloves get me a better pair of gloves than spending 60 dollars on retail gloves? automorph 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 pro stock gloves have better protection (full plastic inserts) and feel but are not built to last....palms are usually single layer vs retail (double layer)

epstud74 24 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 I guess www.hockeymonkey.com has a bunch of pro stock glovesThey come with a few more color options and can be cheaper. I have a couple pro stock gloves..one being a SDP Pro NHB 4 roll in leather. Pretty nice glove with the single fingers option.Lately I've been wearing Sande Gloves. You can get them at a great price and the fingers have freedom of movement you will really only see in $180+ Eagle gloves. Plus they're breatheable and lightweight for the summer league games. That is my own opinion, I'm sure someone else will chime in on this.I tend to travel pretty light in the summer...Helmet, no cage/visor (depends on who I play with), mesh type socks, no shoulder pads..but the rest of the gear..pro stock gloves have better protection (full plastic inserts) and feel but are not built to last....palms are usually single layer vs retail (double layer)Not always.. My NBH SDP Pro 4 rolls are pretty solid..Single fingers as well..

epstud74 24 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 They're prolly a better glove than your S7s.. What size glove are you? Are you in the Twin Cities? Play it Again Sports in Lakeville usually has tons of Wild glovesI like the CCM pro stock, but not sure if you wear a 15" glove
coolpeoplearewildfans 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 13 or 14". i prefered my 13" eastons over my 14" salmings but if the nylon are considered better than the leather i was gonna get the 14". are they priced the same? i dont really wnt to spend 100+ on a pair of gloves. 60 is pushing it. epstud74 24 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 Nylon/Leather seem to be priced the same and a personal preference. I own maybe 10-12 pairs of gloves and only 2-3 pairs are leather. I'd go for the Nylon and I'm sure the RBK Wild gloves will work for you. I'm guessing they were for the AHL affliliate due to the AHL being a RBK sponsored league.
