Want To Borrow/Rent: Road Hockey Goalie Pads

Long story short, i've got a hockey team registered for the 4 on 4 play on tournament coming up in vancouver next weekend (14, 15th)... i was a freakin superstar road hockey goalie back in the day, so i volunteered myself to play 'tender, but im having a hard time finding goalie pads... anyone locals (in Lower Mainland) have goalie pads they'd be willing to lend me for the weekend. I am willing to pay a rental fee or work something else out.

If you were local i would have hooked you up with some velocity 1's. Its good to find a pair of old leather ice hockey pads over street hockey pads, they work sick. You could even cover a decent pair of pads with duct tape ive seen people do that route too but i was lucky to score a nice but heavily marked up set for $350. Still, no holes and all in tact what else do you need?

When Playon held their previous tournament in 2004 they had a tent where you could borrow goalie gear for free if you left a credit card with them. It's a different company running it this time around but I'd contact the organizers to see if they still offer this service.

No, I volunteered as a ref last time and might do it again. I'm working Saturday and my spring hockey team just got re-tiered so we may have a game Sunday. If we don't I'll probably officiate again. I reffed all ages last year and the teens/adults were a pain to deal with. A rep from the company running said I can ref kids only this time

If they don't offer goal equipment rentals anymore you can probably score a cheap set of Vaughns from Wal-Mart. They look pretty good for the price.
