RBK 9k to Flexlite 12 question

My kid's been in the 9K size 10.5E....looking to move to the flexlite in a 10.5D. I believe the Flexlite 12 will be deeper and wider (which he needs). Lengthwise, are we in the same ballpark (if anything, he needs a tad more room in the toes)?

It may work, but the RBKs are pretty wide. This is one of those situations where it is near impossible to gauge w/o trying on the skates. Most shops have the Flexlite 4.0 at or around $350

Plus if you're bidding on those Phaneuf skates on eBay, you have no idea what the width is because they're custom to Phaneuf's feet.
