Whats the general thought on this guy? I have a buddy whos a real big fan, says hes not a bad hockey player. I seen him get pummeled by Laraque but he seems to be a good fighter at the minor league level. Can anyone give me some info or is he just another pure enforcer.

I actually played Juniors with his young brother, Mark. Great kid, miss him a lot. I also got a chance to meet his brother and play some pick-up with the two of them. Both Mark and Joel are typical enforcers, but both guys can handle the puck reasonably well. No 'danglers' by any means, but for their size they can do more than you think. One thing I remember specifically from playing with Joel is that he had a good sense of his size in relation to where he was on the ice, smart player. Unfortunately, I don't think Joel has been able to really catch on with one organization too well.
