Both British teams are going to get trashed but doesn't matter really. It's going to be great for British hockey and give so much coverage for the league. Not a clue how they managed to get the Marlies and Bulldogs but can't complain!

How many of you guys are thinking of/are going?

Apparently, the Marlies are wanting a warm-up game with my University team. Goddamn it...!

This is great for exposure of good hockey for the British people. I agree though, the British teams will get killed. Secondly the fans won't see real AHL hockey because the better AHL players will be at NHL training camp and playing exhibition games, so it's almost an evaluation for some guys trying to crack the Bulldog and Marlie rosters.

Booked my tickets last week. To be honest although the AHL teams will be a lot better than us, I think the Giants may be able to cause an upset against the Marlies. As kovyperron said, its not going to be true AHL hockey because the best players will be at NHL camps. The Giants have quite a few former AHLers in their team and a lot of guys who've been very effective in the ECHL.

Like I said, if they do win it will be an upset, but I don't buy into this 'they are gonna get thrashed' mentality. Both the Giants and Caps will get beat, but it won't be by as huge of a score as people are suggesting.
