kovyperron5727 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2009 I stickhandle nearly every day and for some reason I am prone to get blisters on my fingers(Usually in between my pointer and middle finger on my top hand, and the sides of my thumb and my upper and lower hand). I was wondering if it had to do with my gloves. This was never a problem with my previous pair, oddly enough. I also don't grip my stick that tight. The gloves am I currently using are a custom team glove. I think they are Christians, I will admit they are not very high quality, other than the sticthing of my teams name. My other theory is because the knob of my stick is taped like normal, then I applied grip tape. It is very aggravating because I can feel the rubbing witihn 10 min and then my hands get slower effecting my stickhandling
Rustyhole 1 Report post Posted July 12, 2009 sometimes when you make changes it workssounds like this isn't one of themi'd suggest keeping the gloves, but tape the stick as close to how you originally had ithowever, quite a few members have nice gloves FS if you decide to ditch 'em
Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 12, 2009 I've gotten blisters on my lower hand from nash palms in the past. I have clarino in my current Eagles and have never had a problem. I also use Oggie grip foam on the top of my stick and it has significantly reduced the wear on the palms of my upper hand.
