A twist for junior age players

Recommended Posts

From a TSN article.

The agreement between the Canadian Hockey League and the NHL governing the way the two leagues do business expired in June and was not renewed.

In the previous CHL-NHL agreement, which was not part of the collective bargaining agreement, teenage players could not play in the minor leagues, but had to either play for the parent club or be sent back to junior.

I'm not sure how this is going through, but there's also a fair bit of junior players who will get shafted because there won't be any training camps. All of those players who attended the rookie and normal camps will now occupy there normal spot rather than giving up that 2 week + spot for someone to show their stuff and make a big impression. Back-up goalies its crutial because they have now lost 2 weeks of starts.
