CCM Vector 08 helmet question

I have a vector 08 helmet which is a little too big on me, size large. i would have gotten a medium, but even at the biggest setting the medium is too small on me. Is there something i can put in the helmet (extra padding, or a sponge ect) that would help make the helmet fit more snug?

you could try wearing a skullcap or a sweatband or something, though i'm not sure if this would affect protection at all.
