Gay Hockey Players in the NHL

As a proud and open member of the British gay hockey community, I would like to know if there are any of my kind out there that have made it as a professional and if they have come across any problems with how they are treated about their sexuality.

May this matter be treated with the respect it deserves please, homophobia should not be accepted.

There has never been a publicly declared gay player in any major north american team sport during his career. Because of this, and I have desire to see this devolve into random speculation and rumor-mongering, I will be closing this topic.
