thunderhockey48 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2009 I dont know if this is the right place to post this, as im sorta new to this board, so i apologize if it is not the right place. I just broke my Dolomite, which I absolutely loved, and im looking for a new stick. I have a one90 but its fairly heavy, and I just dont get the same kick out of it like I did with the dolomite. Its probably because I never take slapshots, and only take wristers, as I have heard the one90 is more of a power shot stick. Im looking for a stick with a really low kickzone because I only take snap shots and wrist shots. Something comparable to an r8 or dolomite would be nice as those are my 2 favorite sticks. Also, im about 5'7" and 135, and I have pretty small hands. I cant decide whether I want to get a whip senior or an intermediate. My dolo was an intermediate, and my one90 is a senior, and I definitely like my dolo better, but that may be due to me just liking the stick better, not necessarily due to the differences in flex. Thanks for any input
Speedz98 15 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 so get a Dolomite again? I know the S17 is suppose to have a low kick point and a great shooting stick, just no feel. I've read that the flexes are lower than labeled so if you got a 75 it be pretty whippy.
cptjeff 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 Stealths have a little higher kickpoint. Synergies are Easton's low kickpoint stick.Synergies, Dolos, Vapors, 10k.
thunderhockey48 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 I would get a dolo again, except i dont want to drop too much money, ive been lookin around for one of last years models. I got this dolo on ebay for 70. How is the old synergy elite for puck feel and shooting?
Jarick 5 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 Very good puck feel and shooting, bad for durability.I am right with you on the One90, I had a One95 and couldn't shoot for crap compared to my old Dolomite. I got a Sickick that I'll be trying tonight.Hockeymonkey has Warrior Mac Daddy's for $120, that's like a Dolomite but with better weight and balance. Playersbench has Christian intermediate tapered shafts for $25, that's worth a try with your favorite blade. Hockeygiant has 65 flex V10's for $110, they felt really good but a bit whippy for me (5'8" 180 75 flex guy). Also, Vapor XXV intermediates are on sale everywhere, they shoot really well (low kickpoint) but the blade doesn't seem so durable...mine's already chipping and cracking on the bottom after half a dozen uses. thunderhockey48 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2009 I just went to my local hockey shop, and they were having a HUGE sale on warriors. I picked up a dolomite for 90 and a Mac Daddy for 100, both with nipple grip.
