Skate Question

Recommended Posts

Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question, ive been trying to research and look around and figure it out myself for a few months now, with absolutly no luck, so i didnt know where else to turn. I currently wear a 9.5 CCM v8.0 and it felt great in the store, as do most skates. but as soon as i tie them up ad get on the ice for 5-10 min the balls of my feet, mostly my right foot kill. ( for people who dont know thats like the part just before your toes prob the uper 3/4 of your footish area) and i have superfeet already in there helped a little bit but still hurts a lot. so i am wondering if anyone can tell me if its because the skate is to big, to wide not wide enough or what ever the problem is. i have alwasy wanted, but have never had a skate that fits perfectly, like i said most skates feel great or at least good in the store but then kill when i am on the ice. any help at all would be greatly and i do mean greatly appricated. thank you in advanced.

It could be any of three or more things. Volume might be an issue for you, you could also have foot problems that perhaps an orthotic could fix or it might simply be that you have a very wide foot in that one area.
