stevelknievel 51 Report post Posted November 16, 2009 i bought some 4k's over the summer , a 8E, i got em baked when i got them and since then ive been to several open skates and sticks and puck, still had some arch pain so i had my LHS push the arch area out a little, then more of the usual and walking around in them as much as possible. the skates are good and comfortable when im walking in them or stretching or anything else except actually skating. ill be fine for a few minutes but after that the pain comes quick and it is horrific lol. the pain seems to stem from the forefoot / front arch area, so ill get off the ice and walk around and the pain usually subsides but as soon as im back on the ice the pain comes right back. is it something with like my feet or the skates? is there anything i can do? jeremyp 3 Report post Posted November 16, 2009 When yhou say front foot arch area, is it the sides of your feet or is it underneath your feet?? If it's the sides then you can have them stretched out a bit more where it hurts. Just like you had done already. If its underneath then you might try some insoles like Shock Doctors or Superfeet. Superfeet has some good ones for us flat footed folks. I use the Shock Doctors in my Vapor X50s and the bottoms of my feet have never been so comfortable in a skate before. Hope this helps.
