NHL Center Ice on FIOS... HD Games?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have the NHL Center Ice package on FIOS? It looks to me like there is only one channel for HD games and so I'd wind up with only one game at a time in HD and only whichever one the programmer chose for that time slot. I'd like to get rid of Dish if possible though since they can't support two HD TVs on one DVR but I need to find out more first.

wish i could get FIOS but it sounds like you still go through the same crap that alot of other people that have center ice are going through.

i really think the nhl should just step in and say that if a game is available in HD that EVERYONE has to offer it - why should someone pay 160 and not even have the option of watching the games in HD? we all know that they are filmed in HD at least

I dont have center ice, but I have FIOS and watched it when it was free at the start of the season. It was the same for me. Only one HD game and the rest is standard. Kinda sucks cause it was never a good game in HD either.

Thanks guys... pretty much what I thought. The NHL is run worse then most minor leagues so really, I shouldn't expect anything more I guess.

It isn't the NHL, it's the provider. Comcast doesn't offer anything on center ice in HD.

Yes, but if the NHL weren't run by a muppet and the league had any credibility there would be more then 15 fans who cared—and in turn the providers would have to air the games to meet demand or see their customers leave for providers that did.
