Favorite wood sticks

Used to love the old Kitchener 6100 straight blade. Used these all the way to bantam when graphite started coming out

kind of off topic eh?

whats the lightest of the wood sticks? the weight of a woodie vs even a low end composite is what really shys me from them.

the weight of a stick - whether it's wood, fiberglass or carbon fiber - should be the least of anyone's concerns. way too much emphasis is placed on a sticks weight. too many factors come into play in this discussion...

did the maker measure a stick at retail or some arbitrary length? was it senior... int. or a house special? did they include a plug? did you cut it? how much tape did you add to the blade/handle? on and on it goes...

by the time most players get a stick to what would be "ready to use", the weight has been modified significantly from whatever the manufacturer's specs were.

IMO balance, flex and performance-level desired should be considered before weight

I'd even put color before weight (way before :D)

I bought a handful of wood sticks recently, mostly to experiment with length. I like the feel and performance of the Bauer One75 (quality seems a bit too variable) and Sherwood PMP 7000. I find the Bauer One55 too light.

I was actually surprised that the One55 OPS is heavier than the woodie, as Ive used both :P

When I first used it, it felt like I was holding nothing. Like anything, I guess you get used to it after a while. Still, a little weight feels better to me.
