Bad holder allignment?

Recommended Posts

I guess I never really checked that on my skates, but without going and finding my skates (they are boxed, as I play roller in college now,

If they came from the factory like that, I would send them back/return them.

Why? Because I know that Bauer touted the LS2Power as being different because the steel was like 2mm longer. I know I actually felt the longer steel when I started skating on them. Your skates look about 2-4mm off, and if Bauer says that's a difference, you should err on the safe side and send them back.

Just my 2 cents.

That explains everything for me Chester, when i first switched to vapor XXXX's (LS2's) from my vapor XXII's (LS1's) I would sometimes trip myself up because of the front of my blade digging to far into the ice while i was accelerating. I guess it wasn't just me.

I thought I had a similar problem on my skates but when I examined them a bit further there was no alignment issue with the holder but the outsole was not in the same place on both skates making it look like the holders were off. What I mean is, if you look at the holder position relative to the boot and not relative to the outsole you might see that they are perfectly aligned. I basically compared all the rivots to positions on the boot itself from one skate to the other and the holders were in the exact same spot. What I think happened, at least with mine, is that when they put the outsole on, they weren't placed in the exact same position therefore making it appear that the holders were off alignment. Not sure if that is the case with yours as it is hard to tell in the pictures, but thought I'd throw it out there to see if you have the same issue I did. Good luck!

EDIT: Actually looking at your pictures a bit closer, it does look like your holders are off and not just the outsoles making them look like they are off. Still might want to check positioning like I mentioned above

Ideally, getting them replaced or warranteed would be the best solution for you. However, If you can't find your receipt then you could always pay a local shop to align them properly for you.
