Well, I tried on a pair of Easton 999 at the Source For Sports here. They don't carry the SE16 which I'm debating on buying. They had the S17 and S15 but not in my size. What Easton skate is the most similar fit and design to the SE16. It's pretty obvious now that I will have to buy them online, but I want to be sure of them before I make the purchase. Size 10 ® in the 999 was a really good fit, but not sure about the ankle support. Will the SE16 have the same amount of support or more? I did feel unstable in them, not sure if it would transfer over to the ice, or it would just take a bit of time to get use to it. Is it because of a lower boot cut on the Eastons?

I also planned on picking up a Bauer 9500 helmet, but to my surprised it was a terrible fit on me. I figured it would fit like the 5500 did, but that wasn't the case. The RBK 8K and the CCM V10 both were good fits as well. I'm sort of leaning toward the CCM V10 over the RBK 8 because of the price. And the 5500 is still up for grabs. Do they all sync up well with the Oakley straight small visor?

My local SportChek carries the 08 SE16 so I'm guessing they would be the closest fit to the 09 SE16's.

Get v10... it'll fit with that visor. v10 is awesome.

They pack most of them with a lot of gel, so out of the bx fits are never just right

you need to bake them up and try them

they should mold to your foot and fit like a glove?

i've got se16's and im coming off the s15's. the se is much stiffer and there's more to it than the 15. Fits much better after the bake and are great after the initial break in
