Easton S12 heel lifts

Recommended Posts

I bought some S12's this weekend. The overall fit was nice but I had some slight issues with how my right ankle sat in the ankle pocket. There was pressure on the top of my right ankle, removing the lift resolved that. However, removing the lift from the left skate had the opposite affect. I think a smaller lift would be ideal.

So, before I take the sanding wheel to the only set I have. Is this something I can get or order from Easton?

You mean the ones on the insole?

Why not just leave them as is, and add a lift under the holder on the skate you took the interior lift out of?

Sounds like your feet are slightly mismatched.

Yes, the ones under the innersole.

It has to do with how my ankle bones sit in the ankle pockets, so it's strictly an interior thing. I'll probably leave them in. I may need to shave em down a little to get my right foot to sit deeper in the heel pocket. Hate to experiment on the only set I have.

What I'm saying is to just take out the ones on the right skate and make up the difference with a lift between the holder and the boot, and leave the left one in. That way, both your feet are comfortable and the total lift is the same on both skates.

Ahh, I get what you're saying now. I never thought of that....not a bad idea. I'll keep that in mind if things don't end up settling in.
