Need New Elbow Pads

I have a set of Jofa 639 elbow pads that are kind of falling apart now, i have had them for about 15 years and bought them used. they fit great but i figure the technology is there to get the same kind of old school feel with any or the new RBK line or Jofa 5000 or 9000 series.

LHS doesn't carry much selection, any recommendations?

I understand that some of the 9000 series is hard to come by, and how does the 5000 series compare? Or better yet how do these compare to RBK's new line?

You need to pick what exactly you're looking for and go from there. For example, my perfect elbow pad is a size 6, **44. BUT what I'm using is a 5066 that has the extension cut off.

The problem here was finding the right generation, for a short time they used a bicep guard that had two "lobes" and that was incredibly bulky. Then they also changed the straps. At one time they had the middle strap made of nylon and it wrapped all the way around the outside of the pad. Pic It was great to be able to change the angle of the strap... but no elastic so it could be slightly uncomfortable.

There was also a generation that had the base with one thin slip of velcro(as opposed to the wide velcro piece seen here), so the strap was really unadjustable when it came to changing the angle of the strap.

There is also a generation that has an elastic middle band, that goes across the elbow twice then attaching back to the pad via a large velcro pad(link previously seen).

I prefer the nylon strap but the last one I mentioned works just as well.
