Cage question

I just bought the jofa 480 cage and I was wondering if it matters what clips (the part where the screw holds the cage) to use metal or plastic? Or is it just personal preference.

Plastic won't rust.

Is there even a real need to have them? My cage doesn't fit into them when I have them in.

i find for jofa and bauer cages you need the metal clips just because there thinner and for itech i use the plastic ones. just cause the plastic ones are more open

Yes, Itech is the only one who uses plastic ones.
