RBK extendable skates

Anyone have any experience with these skates? Are they a gimmick or would they be fine for a 6 year old?

Our shop got them in... they actually do work and are expandable, but about half of the ones we've sold have already broke. If i were you i'd get a half size bigger in a youth skate rather than getting those.

Thats too bad about the breakage issue. In theory it sounds like a good alternative to sloppy fitting skates, guess its too good to be true. We'll just suck it up and keep buying skates.
