Eagle X-70 Gloves - Poor Quality

Recommended Posts

About 10 months ago I purchased a pair of Eagle X-70 Gloves. However, they are now falling apart. The stitching in the fingers is starting to come undone and the palms are now getting holes. I average about 2 times a week year round. Is this the average life span for these gloves? I'm not sure if it's even worth it to get them repalmed. My questions are. Does anyone have the Eagle X-70's with a similar experience? I am thinking of getting new gloves. Any recommendations? How are the Warrior Franchise? I am really tired of the disposable gear made by companies.

Depending on the type of palms, it wouldn't surprise me that you'd be getting holes and stitching issues after 10 months. Almost anything but msh2 it seems will do that, especially if you use powerflex tape or any kind of coloured tape for the butt end of your stick.

Keep in mind that a repalm should last as long as a brand new glove (since the rest of the glove will normally last through at at least a few repalms).

Either Durasoft clarino or MSH2 should give you pretty good durability.

My durability is holding up fine with my X-70's with Clarino palm. I did have a slight stitching issue on one of the thumbs, but since it's been repaired I haven't had any issues with them.

i had the same gloves and the palms were done after about a season as well, but that was me playing at least 4 days a week. I got a set of the eagle "special editions" for a great price so bought them and have used them all season, but i'm still going to get my X70s repalmed. Honestly repalming is less than getting a new set of gloves in most cases, and I love the way eagles feel so i feel its worth it over buying different gloves.
