Bauer denies stick return

Recommended Posts

Straight from Easton's site:
5. If Easton Sports deems the stick or shaft as not under warranty, the product will be returned to you with a notice of explanation.

And straight from Reebok/CCMs site:

"If Reebok-CCM determines your Composite Stick Product is not covered under warranty, or that you failed to meet the conditions as described in its Warranty Policy and Procedures, your product will be returned to you at your request and expense."

They treated me well so far. They didnt have the exact stick to replace my U+ so they called and told me my options. They are sending me a U+ CL as a replacement.

Email received today:

Hello Jordan,

On hand written receipts the information that needs to be included is:

1. The name of the store

2. Date of purchase

3. Address

4. Phone number

5. Manager’s name

6. Item number

7. Confirmation of payment

If you have all of this on the receipt you can fax it to 1-800-565-9597 and we can clear this up for you.

Thank you!

SG

Bauer Hockey Inc.

I emailed them back and said, I could try and get a carbon copy from my LHS, but i doubt they have the receipt still. I don't understand why they think I would have it, I sent it in with the stick like I am supposed to.

EDIT: typo

Well thats good for you than. Take what bauer requested into your lhs. You lhs has to keep copies of all its transactions. Just get them to fill in the info with a photo copy of the receipt and have the manager sign it.

is there anyway to check the status of a return through bauer? i sent back my "mybauer" stick last week and was wondering if there was anyway to tell if they accepted or denied my return instead of waiting the 3-5 weeks for my replacement.

you can email the c.s dept with your ra #, they can tell you whats up with your claim. by the time i emailed them, the new stick showed up the next day. total turn around was 7 days

I'm perplexed by this thread in that the OP has been told by numerous posters and Bauer to contact the LHS for assistance... yet the OP has thus far not done so... why?

And a friendly tip: whenever mailing in rebates/warranty claims, ALWAYS make photocopies of what you send in... especially sales receipts.

I've never had to use a hockey stick warranty, but I know with baseball bats you always have to submit the original receipt to get the replacement.

Yeah, but you keep a photocopy. That way if they ask you to fax it in or it gets lost or destroyed you have a backup.

(After all, it's not like you can fax in the original anyway. :P)

Issue resolved!

I gave bauer my LHS contact number and they took care of everything! They even asked if I wanted a different curve/flex than what I listed.

Always happy with bauer :D

I received a one95 instead of a vaporx60 when I sent back a vapor xxxx, But i think that was right before the vapor x60's came out.
