Looking for flexlite 2.0/3.0 but not as wide.

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into the Bauer Flexlite 2.0 or 3.0 skates but everyone seems to say that they're a wider fit. What would be comparable in boot stiffness but not as wide. I have a regular foot. I'm currently skating with a CCM vector 6.0 and find they much too stiff

Maybe something in the Vapor line would be better for you, soemthing around the X:40 range (or a Vapor XXV, similar skates).

Try on skates that are in the middle to higher range of skates, like the ONE55 (or ONE60 now), Vapor X:40 (Vapor XXV), CCM Vector V07, RBK 6K, etc

They're not as wide as what people say, I had Vapor 40s in 9.5EE for 2 seasons and they were only slightly too narrow, not so much that it was a big problem. Now I'm wearing Flexlite 12s (2006) in the same 9.5EE and they're perfect. Best advice would be to try them on, the difference in width is greatly exaggerated.

Hmm, not my experience. I tried on Vapors in 7.5 EE and they were not wide enough for me. I tried on Flexalite 4.0s in 7.5 D and they were wide enough for me. So a D width worked in a Flexalite, but an EE did NOT work in a Vapor. That is a pretty big difference in width.

Maybe the old Vapors and Flexalites your experience is true, but in the current models, my experience has been different.
