Octopus equipment hanger

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with one of these.

I'm looking to hang senior sized roller hockey skates, shin guards, elbow pads, gloves, jock and helmet on it. It seems like a good enough idea for a product.

And, for anyone who has it, will I have to anchor it into my ceiling or should it be good on my door?

I had one and thought it was great. It was perfect for my small NYC apartment, as I anchored it on a closet rod, hung my gear on it, and closed the closet. I actually think the closet rod is a better option than over a door because it gives you more room all the way around the hanger.
