Reebok 11k question

Recommended Posts

I just ordered a pair of Reebok 11k skates (black)

Just wondering if I should still get them baked. I've never had a Reebok skate before and am just wondering about the Pump being plastic, if any of the big guys on here could help me out I would appreciate it.

Thanks, TCBlue

Just make sure the bladders are empty of air before you heat them, and don't pump up the skate at all during the entire baking process.

I have the 11k's and i got them baked, i may go back a second time as i did not tie them up very tight so when i do tie them up tight when i play there are some areas that are not fitting properly and a second baking may help. I love the skate and i have owned all 3 generations of the pump skate and i have to say the 11k addressed all the issues. I did not like the previous 9k skate as the durability was the shits.

Do you mean 9K with metal mesh?

baking is fine, don't use the pump during the baking or 24 hours after baking. most pump failures are due to using the pump after baking when its still soft

What he said. The reason being that the glue that seals the pump is heat sensitive. So make sure the pump is totally empty and drained of all air prior to baking. I would also hold off at least 24 hours after like states above. Let us know what you think of the skates when you get them! I'm curious to hear some reviews of the skates but haven't seen many yet
