Hyper Virtue

Recommended Posts

I ordered some hyper virtue's. I was kind of skeptical ordering them at first but went ahead and ordered them. I cant justify paying $10 a wheel anymore after they get ripped up too fast, Im just hard on my wheels. Even 78a hornets didnt last a while. So if Im going to screw up wheels fast might as well get something cheaper. Im hoping ill find these to be my new favorite wheel, I dont really have a favorite wheel because they all crap out too fast even at 130lbs. rink rats chunk and then start to suck, revisions just lose grip, lebeda's do the same as revisions.

Does anyone else use these wheels with any experiance? Mine come in wednesday and wont get to use them till saturday if I have a tournament

I've been using them on Sprungs for about three and a half months now, finally showing a little wear after playing 3-4 times a week over that period.

Ok so I got the wheels today and I am far happier already than any rink rats. All the rink rats ive had have had this stupid bearing seat problem where the bearings will never seat equal, maybe on 2 or 3 wheels out of 8 but for those other wheels the bearings do not spin on the same axis as the other so the wheel wobbles like an untrue bicycle wheel. I know how to put bearings in so dont say its my problem. My labedas do not do that, its only the rink rats. It wasnt a problem until they switched to the "hubless" type wheel. Back in the day where the hub was actually exposed instead of an all in one type, this was not a problem.

The bearings seat PERFECT on these wheels and do not bind or anything when you tighten the axles like rink rats. I can notice a difference when skating on rink rats that they do slow you down because the bearings dont seat correctly. Im already more satisfied without even skating on them:

Used to skate these on my soldier blacks! They wore great. Much better than the RR hot shots that I used prior.

NCBrock -

Had the same problem with Rink Rat wheels, specifically on the mini core wheels. I actually liked the wheels so I stayed with them for awhile, but had roughly the same amount of bad wheels as you did. For every 8 I bought, I had to fix almost half of them everytime.

It was the bearing seat. I wound up having to dremel the seat on the bad wheels, and that created enough room for the bearing to sit properly. It was really annoying, time consuming, and pain staking. I would drill out a little bit on one side, not enough on the other and the bearing wouldn't sit right.

But again, the wheels themselves were the best mini core wheels at the time and I had the tools, and the talent I guess to fix them. If I didn't have the dremel tool, I would never have been able to fix the problem.

I would have never thought of that, but wouldnt want to waste my time, I would just suck up not being able to glide . I get to skate on them sunday night so we will see how they go.

ok skate report: not so good

im not sure if these wheels have a break in time but i was slipping everywhere and felt pretty slow. turning was ok, but the sprungs probably helped with that, stopping sucked especially backwards.

Ill probably end up getting the new revisions, I just wasted $50 on these wheels though, ill see if I can get a little money off them from people i know. Plus I got a 15% off deal from inlinewarehouse probably because i just spent $300 there last week. So thats about $10 off the wheels
