Easton blades

Recommended Posts

I had an S17 and after like 6 months of on and off use the blade went soft, then started splitting. I moved to a NBH XXXX after it became unusable and I liked it, but it lacked feel. Then, knowing easton sticks had great performance I bought an SE16, thinking the blade problem was addressed. After only a couple months of use on a HS Hockey schedule the same thing happened. It's still usable, but come on. I've moved back to the XXXX (which has a rock hard blade by the way) because of this. Also every one of my teammates with an Easton stick has the same problem. Why doesn't Easton step up the durability on the blades? Until then I'm a Bauer guy.

This is basically the main complaint, so feel good knowing you're not alone. On the other hand, it's a common problem so they should've addressed it. One point of note, ALL the pro stock Eastons I've ever gotten, say 12 or 13 in total, have a thicker blade bottom than I've ever seen retail.

The TPS 12K blade is very stiff and has better puck fell then the XXXX blades in my opinion. The R10 or R8 are just great sticks all around.
