X60 stick blade snapped

Recommended Posts

I have an intermediate (77 flex) x60 stick.

The blade recently snapped in the middle.

I was wondering if i can just purchase another X60 blade and make a two piece out of it?

Would it fit? being that the stick is an intermediate stick and bauer only sells SR x60 blades?

I mean it's a taper blade ???

A SR tapered X60 blade will fit in an INT X60 shaft. Although, when you make a shaft out of your one piece you'll lose a lot of length. Read up on the master cutting thread for more info.

Bauer offers a 77 intermediate stick as well as a 77 Senior stick.

I took the Intermediate because i only need to chop 2 inchs off of it compared to 5 inches off the senior.

Oh. Good point.

I had an intermediate one95 shaft and I was able to fit a dolomite SR. blade in. I jammed it in pretty good though. I wasn't able to get the blade out after that.

No you won't, at least on the X60. My blade snapped on my X60 as well, I chopped the blade and threw in an S16 blade into the shaft and lost maybe an inch of length in the shaft.

The one thing I did find interesting is that the shaft of the X60 OPS is irregularly shaped/tapered compared to other (Warrior for sure) tapered OPS sticks so a lot of filing was needed to make a perfect fit for the blade.
