do all blackstone macines put an fvb edge on ? how user friendly is the xo1 for a beginner? does the xo1 have the capability to do the fvb edge and the conventional hollow?

No..not all BS machines can do the FBV. The ones with the Spinner system are the only ones that can perform that option. And yes, the X01 can do both FBV and ROH. There is quite the thread on the Blackstone Portables in the FBV thread...wander on over and take a look.

if you were used to the roh but wanted to try the fbv , but also want your own machine what is the right choice?

Blackstone machines are the only ones capable of putting the FBV on a skate, so you have to go with one of them. The X01 is the cheapest model that has the spinner setup.
