One95 "Pro" Skates

Recommended Posts

My brother is looking at buying a new pair of skates and came across these on HockeyGiant:

http://www.hockeygiant.com/bauone95psktsr.html

Couple questions:

1. How much difference is there in width between E and EE? He was in a EE previously, is there that big of a difference?

2. How different are these from retail One95's? The product description claims they have "additional, thicker, pro level ankle padding". Does anybody have any experience with this particular skate?

Thanks.

The newer Supreme ONExx E width fits the same as the older Supreme xxxx EE width. The EE on the ONExx fits wider than older generations of Supremes.

Generally pro skates will be a stiffer skate. On a scale of 1 to 5, most retail stiff skates are only a 3, while most pro skates are a 5. Pros also use their skates everyday, so obviously the padding in the skates is beefed up for more wear and tear.

If you're a big guy or a good skater that won't be affected by skating with ski boots on their feet, go with them. If not, then you can wait for the ONE100, which is the ONE95.
