Pipe Tobacco

Hey gang,

Anybody out there smoke from a pipe? I have used some buddies' pipes, but never owned my own. With the nicer weather I'm thinking about getting started in it. Any pointers? Thanks!

I don't smoke very often anymore. I switched from cigars to pipes. Of course the hardest is learning to pack the pipe. You can buy tobacco from bulk bins at most good stores. This way you can try a variety of mixes. I would usually buy tobacco in tins. I'm not a big fan of aromatic tobaccos. The cherry, vanilla etc. flavors. Sometimes thats all they have for sale in bulk. McClellands' brand have some good offerings. They are not too expensive.

I agree with you. It is great weather to sit outside and fire up the pipe.
