Recommended Posts

hey im trying to figure out how to profile my blades to where i am on my toes more i believe the radius of my skates is a 9' neutral right now and i hate it. any advice or a link to a website that teaches how to profile would be appreciated.

I think the blademaster site explains profiling in good detail.

I have a 9' +1.25 with 1.5mm lifts and I feel like I could be a little bit more on my toes.

what is the +1.25 mean and if you wanna be more on your toes why dont you do a 3mm heel lift

I asked for 3mm but the tech said 1.5mm should have been enough with the profile. I can't remember what the 1.25 equals, but it's a form of measuring pitch, + is fwd - reverse. from what I remember. tuuk holders come as a -.5 pitch or something along those lines. so you need the profile on that runner to be fairly aggressive to get onto your toes, as the holder itself sets you back on your heels.

there are a lot of knowledgeable guys on this site that can answer all your questions in however detail you desire, and honestly, I think you probably posted this thread in the wrong section, it will get many more views and is more suitable for the "ice hockey equipment" section.
