Total One's

I was getting my Total One's sharpened for the 1st time at my lhs (not where I bought them from), and they noticed that the holders are mounted more on the inside of the foot. Is this an error on my pair or something Bauer does with all of there skates? Both skates look the same, but they holders do seem to be more towards the inside of the foot.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

My one95's are all messed up. One is mounted at least a half inch back and inside vs. the other.

My one80s are off a little bit as well. Left foot is OK but right boot is slightly to the inside. Kinda shabby QC.... I dont think it should affect feel or performance though, at least I hope not.

My One95's were off too. My left skate had the holder mounted way to the inside edge of the skate, while the right skate was pretty centered.

For the guys saying their holders are off, check to see how they are in relation to the actual boot. I have seen many skates where the outsole is not centered on the boot, so when the holders are mounted, they look like they're off, but they are in the proper position in relation to your foot and the boot itself. So just double check that before assuming they're mismounted.

While I have absolutely heard the argument for holders not being centered might be correct, I can tell you in my case the holders on my One95's were just off. My ankles supponate badly anyway, and having the runner so far inside on my skate put a ton of pressure on the one ankle, effectively trying to roll. Re aligned and no problems since.
