Bauer Supremes wider than Bauer Vapors?

Recommended Posts

Not your prototypical player (6'6" and 265) and just play in c leagues but I love the game. I got a great deal on on vapor XXVs but they are forming a bunion on both my feet that is very painful while playing. I am thinking I need to switch to something that is a wider boot/toe cap while not breaking the bank, I am already in 12EE right now. Length is good (wear size 15 street shoes), just rubs at the base of my big toe. Need a little help on a boot that wont break down too quickly and will take the pain off my feet! I have had them about 8 months, baked and punched 3 times to no avail. I have heard Bauer flexlite 4 as an option but was wondering about Supreme One75s since they are on clearance at most places now. Basically I would like some thoughts from anyone with some more experience in skates than I have....I've only been playing a year. :D

There is a very low likelihood the one75s will fit him.

Maybe if he is having problems with the toe area not being wide enough, he could try the Easton S12 or S17?

With the forefoot width and depending on heel width... Reebok, Easton Stealth, Bauer Flexlite/Supreme(not including one75) is where he should start looking.

I've got a wider foot. Vapor EE has never worked for me. The Supreme line is cut wider in the front and narrower in the heel, as previously mentioned. Can't speak for those. CCM is the only boot that I've ever been able to comfortably wear.

Looking online I am seeing either Easton S11 in 12.5W or the CCM Vector U+07 in 12D (in the price range I want to stay in). Being that I am in Texas, my LHS doesnt exactly carry the inventory needed to be able to try them on in store. Any thoughts on these 2 models that may be able to help me out?
