Blister

I got a blister on the side of my foot and it popped today while I was playing hockey. Is it important not to skate until it heals?

Thanks.

Pick up some Band-aid Blister Ampoules. Those things are fantastic for blisters.

I use a product called body glide, as my skates still don't quite fit me properly and I don't have $800 for custom skates at the moment.

Runners use it to prevent chafing and blisters, works like a charm for those pressure points while skating. If you've got a Running Room, or even a Sportchek around somewhere, they have it.

For now, I'd get a blister bandage.

Band aid also makes a product that helps prevent blisters by "lubing up" pressure points. Not sure if it is cheaper or as effective as the stuff you get at running specific stores, but it is another preventative option.

It might be old school in comparison to today's newer options but moleskin worked wonders for me.
