Tour Code Carbon Bearing/Wheels

I searched around the forums and couldn't find anything pertaining anything remotely to my problem.

Anyways, I haven't bought a new pair of inline skates in over 5 years. So I am absolutely n00b when it comes to todays wheels and bearings.

First off, did wheels and bearings change during the 5 years I last looked at them? 5 years ago I bought a pair of Mission D4's. I take it my old D4's are using standard 608 bearings considering back then they didn't have 688? I'm assuming of course.

So I went to change my wheels on my new Tours and they are utilizing 688. I no longer want to use 688 and want to use 608. But tours axles are 8mm and the 608's are ... what? 6mm? So my question is, if I bought 608 wheels and 608 bearings will it fit with the 8mm axle? Or do I need to buy extra adapters? I am at a loss I don't even know if my question makes any sense. LOL

You need a set of floating spacers to use 608 bearings with 8mm axles.
