Reebok 8K Helmet/Visor Fit

I did a search and couldn't really gather a whole ton of info as to which visor fits best with the Reebok 8K helmet. I'm looking at guys like Crosby, Jagr, Sedin, Briere and a couple more NHL guys who wear the 8K and it seems like most of them wear it with an Oakley of some sort. Would you guys say that the Oakley visors fit best?

Would you guys say that it has a lot to do with personal preference and these guys just choose the Oakleys? or is it more of a fit issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i have an 8K and i had no issue putting on a bauer aviator visor. i think its all just preference for the most part. my helmet size is a medium if that matters at all.

same here with no issues. except i wear a large helmet.

Oakley are some nice visors, but when i ordered my 8k, they didn't have any in stock, so i had them send the closest visor in bauer, and so far i don't have any problems with it.

I have a Large 8K with an Oakley visor, and the visor fits perfectly. I never actually measured, but the Bauer straight cut visor felt much closer to my face on the 8K than it does on my Bauer 5100 (which is a M/L).

I suspect the pro players choice of visor comes down to personal preference in terms of optics and protection. The Oakley visor seems very popular in general in the NHL, which I find odd, since I haven't found it to be particularly outstanding.

I find the Bauer spacers to be a pain in the neck, since you have to hold two screws, two spacers, two nuts, a visor, and a helmet using 10 fingers. Its obviously not impossible to do, but I dropped the spacer enough times were I thought I was going to lose my mind.

I had a medium rbk 8k, with a bauer "straight cut" model, no problems.

Thanks for the input. Sounds like a lot of you guys are pointing towards Bauer. Are the oakley visors just too high maintenance?

either one you really cant go wrong. as long as you take good care of the visor it wont matter which one you get.

so i decided to go with the Bauer visor. Can anyone with one post a picture up of what theirs looks like. I think mine looks a little funny. thx
