Is It Really Worth it wearing a visor at a Junior A level?

Buddy, Duncan Keith could pull more tail with no teeth than you probably can on your best day.

Anyone pulls in 50 mil better be able to. Regardless of what they look like, or do.

I wear a visor to play ice (a long-ish one at that) and went without to ref and play inline. I figured I'd be fine, its roller hockey, the puck isn't even that heavy. Until a slap shot from the point zipped off a stick and directly into my face. I walked into a client meeting the next morning with 6 stitches and a black eye. I was lucky, the puck hit me pretty flat and caught mostly my helmet rather than my face.

Now I wear a visor to ref (and when I play inline, which is rare) and I've been debating going back to the full cage for ice. I play pickup with a couple bartenders every friday... neither has health insurance or dental coverage, and neither wears a cage. That's just insane.

I dunno....maybe it's just me: Is anyone else tired of these "Should I wear a visor or not" threads. Decide. Wear one, don't wear one. If you don't HAVE to wear one, it's your choice. Don't ask strangers on a website what is the best personal decision you should make!
