Check Mate Shoulder Pads

Anyone ever hear of Check Mate shoulder pads? I know back in the early 90's a lot of the Blues wore them and refused to part with them. All white, hard plastic caps, plastic chest panels with diagonal cutouts, and lace up front. Just curious.
