hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted August 27, 2010 I've seen them here in Ottawa when I last visited PHL but was wondering if anyone has any experience using them. Are they as protective as 9Ks for exemple? Durability wise, how are they?http://www.prohockeylife.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_25_86&products_id=1987thank you
duch 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2010 I just replaced my Easton S-17's with the VO8's which are one notch down from the 10's. I find them extremely protective and comfortable shin pads. I can only assume the 10's are just as good if not a bit better. No problems here with these shin pads.

hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted September 4, 2010 Heard from a buddy who uses the v10 that they are very good, light and protective. Dont think you would go wrong/Thanks. I went and got them today. They are light enough and very well padded. I will try and post picks in here at some point or simply wait a few games and post a review. The strapping system is a bit weird but if it bothers me too much I'll just cut it off and use tape. It certainly looks like a solid shin guard.
duch 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 I used to cut off the straps on new shin pads for the same reason. They just didn't feel right. I would use tape or the wide elastic shin straps with velcro on the outside over my socks and place them where they felt comfortable. Now I use a combination of both on my new V08's and it works great for me.
