I don't think I've ever said "soda" unless I'm singing Kim Mitchell's song "Go For A Soda" (and yes Kim Mitchell is canadian) :P

90% of the time I say Pepsi.. otherwise it's pop..

Down here it's soft drink, or a brand name - usually Coke. Seems Pepsi wasn't the choice of the new generation down under. Only time I hear anyone refer to soda it's soda water - carbonated water.
