enjoytheview 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Ok, my missions are now 9 years old and it's time for a new set. I'm trying to decide between the boss se, the axiom t9s or the bauer rx60s. Any insight? I'm leaning toward just getting the t9s. But the boss se's are now discounted. However, I like the way the boot laces on the bauers.Any inputed is helpful - thanks. I ordered a pair of Boss SE's and thought they were amazing skates just trying them on and standing up a bit... The toe cap was not wide enough for me though (right where it connects to the boot) even on the EE-width, so I sent them back... The specs on the skate are amazing though for only $470.00. Very stiff, very light and the rest of the boot seemed very comfortable for me.The T9's I have not been able to try on yet since they don't have an EE width available at either Total Hockey (my LHS, but 2 hours away) or from InlineWarehouse (free return shipping)... They have supposedly fixed the 'flaw' (for lack of a better word) with the toe cap, so I will give them a whirl in a month or so when EE widths come out.As for the RX60, it fits totally different than the Mission's. It is narrower and has a lower volume. Think of Vapor vs Supreme line (what the Mission's are based on)... If you like the way they fit, then its worth the extra $50 over the T9's to get what fits you. The chassis are the same, outsoles are equal, wheels/bearings are somewhat equal (no experience with the new RR Split wheels), so it comes down to the boot. I tried on a pair of the Boss SE this weekend without any issue in the toe (my foot isn't very wide though). I'm wondering if i should just save the money and get them instead of investing the extra in the T9s. Supposedly the new bearings are pretty good on the T9s too however. Decisions decisions... Gefiltefish 9 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 For a $130 difference, I would go with the Boss SE's. I think it was a very good skate. Obviously the T9's may be better - but they could be worse! Just because something is new does not mean its better (in example, Stealth CNT vs S17!). The T9's have the new tongue, footbed, bearings and wheels, but all of those items on the Boss SE are still very good.If it were my personal choice AND the Boss SE's fit me, it would be a no-doubter to go with the Boss SE's for that drastic of a price difference. I love the supreme line, and need inlines that fit the same. I have seen lots of people on here say they are like the supreme's and the toe cap looks the same, however, I have not seen anyone from Mission/Bauer confirm.
