Eagle Fit - x72 vs. PPF

Hey everyone,

Hate to be that guy, but I can't find x72s anywhere near me to try on. I've tried on PPFs and they fit okay, although a little light. I've read that the x72s fit short and tight, but I have nothing to compare it to. I've used CCM Vector Pro (in 14") and Warrior Fubar Pros in 14" and they both fit fine, so how would the x72s fit compared to those three? I like a loose fitting glove (like the Fubars). I've also read that the x72 fits much shorter than other gloves - how would it compare length-wise to the PPF, Fubar, and Vector Pro?

Your help is really appreciated, since I can't find a shop near me with x72s.

I have a pair or first year PPFs and a pair of nylon X72s.

The cuff is much shorter on the X72 than the PPF. The back rolls on the X72 are slightly shorter than the PPF (no more than 1/4" total). The cuff-rolls are identical. The X72 fingers are slighlty longer than the PPF fingers so they fit almost the same length-wise on the hand from cuff-roll to fingertip (cuff is still shorter, and the X72 might be a hair longer). Width-wise, the X72 are slightly wider. If you don't like the fit of the PPF, the X72 isn't going to be a better match. Broken-in I can't really tell a difference between the two on the hand aside from the different palm overlay and shorter cuff on the X72. Aside from the short cuff, they're almost identical.

Not a huge amount, but some. However, I never took out the back/thumb padding, so I don't know how much room that would give.

not to highjack the thread, but i have two questions about eagle gloves. Which models had the 'inserts' and 'pouch' to make the gloves fit looser or tighter, was it the X72? Also are the inserts available to purchase online or mail order anywhere? thanks

The original X72 had the kangaroo pouch. I've never seen the foam available but you can put any foam that fits in there.

My X72s have a pouch to add padding, but there's no removable padding in there.
